Wynette Domon

Wynette Domon was born on July 30, 1958, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Charles Domon and Florinda (Cambridge) Domon. She was raised in a home that nurtured strength, independence, and determination. Wynette received her formal education from Yeadon High School, Class of 1976. Following graduation, she continued her academic journey, attending Cheyney University and Gannon University, and later earned a degree from Temple University. Never limiting herself to traditional paths, she also studied automotive technology, confidently working on her own vehicles and assisting friends with theirs. Wynette later discovered her true calling in Jacksonville, Florida, where she graduated from the School of Therapeutic Massage Therapy. Upon returning to Pennsylvania, she established both a home and office practice, dedicating herself to serving others through her gift of healing. She traveled to clients’ homes, providing therapy services with professionalism and care. Her expertise led her to work with the Philadelphia Ice Capades, where she provided therapy for approximately 30 skaters, helping, as many would say, to keep them on their toes. Wynette was known for her straightforward nature, her courage to speak her mind, and her willingness to share her valuable knowledge. She was confident, compassionate, and unapologetically authentic. Her nephew, Derrick Foster, described her as an amazing woman who embraced him from the moment they met. Through unconditional love and steadfast encouragement, she never gave up on him, guiding him toward positive change even during life’s most difficult seasons. Wynette was truly an inspiring personality, a pillar of strength, and a beacon of hope to those who knew her. On her day of transition, Wynette peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of healing, courage, and unwavering love. She was preceded in death by her parents and family members who welcomed her into eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, Wendell Domon, Maurice Domon, and Glenn Domon; her niece, Ilia Domon; her nephew, Derrick Foster; her niece, Stephanie Domon; and a host of extended relatives and friends. The family also extends special acknowledgment to Edith “Shugie” Dixon for her unwavering support and assistance during this difficult time.
