Turrell L. Hall

Turrell L. Hall, son of the late Robert Cook and Irene Hall, was born on Saturday, January 17, 1981, in Harrisburg, PA. Turrell grew up in the Harrisburg area where he was educated in the Harrisburg School District before going on to graduate from Glenn Mills where he studied Business Administration. He participated in numerous sports during his early years, and he was convinced he was an exceptional swimmer. Turrell was lovingly known as “Pint,” “Half Pint” to his family and close friends. As an adult, he worked closely alongside his father and uncle, the late Charles Cook, for RailWorks/Track Builders. He was very adamant about his craft and enjoyed working on the railroad for many years before putting the skills he acquired and his entrepreneurial drive into starting his own business. Turrell was a sports fanatic who loved to represent his favorite teams when they played. He was truly a “die-hard” fan of the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Lakers. He loved getting into heated debates with his friends about whose team was the best. In his free time, Pint enjoyed cracking jokes, playing pool, watching news podcasts and foreign shows, hanging out with his closest friends and simply enjoying life with the people he loved. He was a dedicated, strong-willed and loving father to his two beautiful daughters. He really enjoyed spending time with Se`Auhn and calling him his “youngin” from playing basketball, football and baseball with him. Turrell was a beautiful son, a cherished brother, friend and a straightforward man. During the nighttime hours of Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA, Turrell peacefully transitioned from life into eternal rest joining his parents; his grandmother, Helen Cook; and his maternal grandmother, Katherine Conner. Turrell leaves loving memories to be cherished by his godmother, Rosaland “Weazy” Carroll of Harrisburg, who played a significant role in his upbringing; his siblings, Cyris Cook of North Carolina, Robert Cook Jr. of New York, Ricky Carroll and Johnny Lowry of Harrisburg, Tacita Gray of Florida, and Shamayne Hall, LaToya Burnett, Caprice “Pri” Taylor, Theresa Bell and Ashley Phillips, all of Harrisburg. Turrell also sadly leaves behind his two beautiful daughters, Khaliyah Denise “LeeLee” Hall (Elaina) and Sanaa Irene Hall (Amber) to carry on his name; as well as his cousins, Kelvin “Skilow” Maxson and Tyshawn Smith; aunt, Wanda Cook; niece, Zhane Anthony-Ware; friends, Shawn Brown, Jimell “Melly,” Barry Daniels, Tennisha Plummer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends who all mourn Turrell’s departure.
