The Obituary Pastor Theodore Godfrey McNair ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” II Corinthians 5:1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pastor Theodore Godfrey McNair was born Wednesday, August 9, 1967, in Fayetteville, NC, son of the late Theodore McNair and the late Dorothy Lee McNair. A graduate of John Harris High School, Class of 1985, Harrisburg, PA, he attended Cheyney University where he majored in Architectural Design. An entrepreneur of many trades, his career included ownership of two Daycare Centers, McNair’s Daycare and Big Hearts Little Hands Daycare. Most recently, he was employed by 20 20 Auto Sales under Mr. Eddie Ruth. He pastored Inspirational Temple Church of Harrisburg. Most precious to Pastor McNair were teaching Bible Study, doing outreach, investing in the development of young people through numerous after-school programs and church activities, traveling, exercising, diet and weight-training and karate under the instruction of Kevin Preston. He, in turn, used these karate skills to inspire and help other young people. In Harrisburg, on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at forty-eight years of age, Pastor McNair transitioned from this life into eternal life joining his parents, granddaughter, McKenzie Jenkins, and niece, Alicia Renee McNair. He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish many precious and irreplaceable memories his wife, Tammie L. McNair of Harrisburg; his sisters, Sylvia McNair of Fayetteville, NC, Synthia R. McNair, Bessie Y. Jenkins and Conswella Sellers, all of Harrisburg; his children, Theodore C. McNair, Tyaira D. McNair, Myles K. Jenkins, Michael A. Jenkins, Tika D. Jenkins, Monica A. Lee, Krista-Lynn J. Towles and Christon-Lee J. Towles, all of Harrisburg; thirteen grandchildren, nine God-children; a host of nieces, nephews, little cousins, friends and a man’s best friend--his two dogs, Lace and Lee`ah McNair. Church, 912 S. 21st Street, Harrisburg. Funeral Service will be held at 9 a.m., Sunday, June 26th, with viewing 8-9 a.m., at Wallace Funeral Directors. Flowers may be delivered to the funeral home, Saturday, 6/25, 12-1 p.m.
