Miles A. Williams

Miles A. Williams was born on July 2, 1994, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Mark A. Williams and Kimberly Smith-Williams. Miles began his educational journey at The Pride of the Neighborhood in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and later attended Steelton-Highspire Elementary School in Steelton, PA. He graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, PA, where he distinguished himself academically and participated in both the football and track and field teams. He continued his education at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Forensics and Computer Science in 2016, followed by a Master of Science in degree in 2018. Miles established an impressive professional career. He was employed by the University of Maryland as a Construction Computer Module Developer, where he enjoyed creating training modules for facilities and construction. Previously, he worked at the Hershey Corporation as a Training and Development Manager, developing computer training modules for the Hershey Chocolate Plant to support production and quality improvement. Miles also obtained his Realtor License and became a Realtor with Howard Hanna Real Estate in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He took great pride in identifying and facilitating property sales throughout Central Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas. From a young age, Miles enjoyed playing the piano and received training at Forte Music in Harrisburg from ages four to twelve. As he grew older, his interests expanded to athletics, particularly football and track and field. He approached every pursuit with dedication and followed each endeavor through to completion. Miles also enjoyed cinema, video gaming, and visiting a local shooting range. He was knowledgeable about firearms, regulations, and laws, and enjoyed collecting them responsibly. He loved animals and shared a special bond with his Labrador Retriever, Duke, who held deep sentimental value. Raised as a member of Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ, Miles served on the Junior Usher Board and participated in the Primary Choir. The youngest of five children, he shared a profound bond with his mother and proudly embraced being known as “Momma’s boy.” Their special handshake symbolized their closeness, and while Miles was independent, he frequently sought his mother’s guidance for important decisions. During his high school years, football and track were central to his life; as an adult, his focus shifted to family, his dog Duke, and the pride he took in homeownership. Miles cherished family gatherings, cookouts, and long conversations with his mother, whether in person or over the phone. They also shared time together at the gun range. He enjoyed traveling, exploring different music genres, dancing, karaoke, jet skiing, riding roller coasters, ATV riding, spending time at the beach, meeting new people, and embracing new experiences. A devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, Miles often watched games with his mother, grandmother, and older brother, Tom. On sunny days, he could often be found riding his scooter and enjoying the outdoors. On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the age of thirty-one, Miles A. Williams peacefully transitioned into eternal life at his residence in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Miles was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David Williams and Thelma Favor, and his uncle, Brian Keith Smith. He leaves to honor and cherish his memory, his devoted mother, Kimberly L. Smith-Williams, and her partner, Andrew A. Robinson; his father, Mark A. Williams Sr.; his brothers, Thomas P. Smith, Mark A. Williams Jr., and Jaden M. Williams; his sisters, Shanette Williams and Carla E. Williams, all of Harrisburg, PA; his paternal grandparents, Leonard J. Smith Sr. and Mary E. Smith of Enhaut, PA; his paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Roberta Scott; his aunt, Victoria L. Smith; his uncle, Leonard J. Smith Jr.; additional aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Ashley Smith and Aspin Smith; his college friends, Aaron Allison, Joshua Hooks, Eddie Mateo, and Travon Pugh; his beloved Labrador Retriever, Duke Williams; and a host of extended family members, coaches, colleagues, and friends.
