Lorenzo White

Lorenzo White was born Friday, July 28, 1944, in Danville, VA, to the late Mary Magdalena and Otis White, one of seven siblings. He was called “Zo,” short for Renzo by some. Lorenzo retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Hospital after twenty plus years of dedicated service. While working at the State Hospital, Lorenzo fell in love. He swept Elouise off her feet with his jovial smile and sense of humor, and on July 28, 1979, at their home on North 5th Street, Harrisburg, PA, Lorenzo and Elouise were joined in Holy Matrimony. Lorenzo gave his life to the Lord as a young child. Until the passing of his wife Elouise, he was a faithful member of Bethany AME Church. Lorenzo was a loyal and obedient Man of God! Before her passing, Elouise wrote to Kenneth, Sharon and Tony, “All I ask is for you to take care of Lorenzo. I could not have found a better husband than Lorenzo.” She ended her letter with, “I give God the Glory for all that he has done!” Among Lorenzo’s many cherished times in life were spent enjoying his fried chicken and listening to music, especially his favorite song, “Anniversary” by Tony! Toni! Tonè! Although a man of few words, Lorenzo was committed to his job and never complained or spoke disparagingly about anyone. Foremost, and most importantly, Lorenzo was a kind, cheerful and gentle man who adored his wife and family more than anything. His love for his family was unparalleled. He was very proud of his family’s accomplishments. On Sunday, December 22, 2024, Lorenzo White exchanged mortality for immortality joining in eternal life his parents; his siblings, Jaunita White of Danville, VA, Glenary Carter of Hartford, CT, Evelyn Morton of Waldorf, MD, Claritha White, Capitol Heights, MD, Carlethia Moore, Danville, VA, and Joseph White of Washington, DC. His loving spirit and legacy will be remembered by his wonderful children, Kenneth, Sharon and Tony Frazier of Harrisburg, PA; along with his sister-in-law, “Mother” Pearl (Miles), and a host of beautiful grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
