Jeremiah Elliott

Jeremiah Elliott was born on Thursday, June 16, 1949, to the late Gracie Elliott and Samuel Green in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Jeremiah attended high school and later served his country in the Army. He was a man of deep faith and dedication. He was a devoted Deacon for over fifteen years and a faithful member of Inner Circle Church under the leadership of Pastor Clara Elliott. His life was guided by his love for God, his family, and his community. For over fifty years, Jeremiah shared a loving and devoted companionship with Ellie Zabriskie, who stood faithfully by his side through life’s many seasons. Their enduring bond was built on mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering love, a true testament to lifelong partnership. Known for his warmth, kind spirit, and generous heart, Jeremiah brought light and laughter to all who knew him. He found peace and happiness in fishing, often spending quiet days by the water reflecting on life’s simple joys. He also loved dancing, bringing smiles wherever music played, and took great pride in working on automobiles, a passion that showcased his patience, skill, and attention to detail. Above all, Jeremiah cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His family was the heartbeat of his world, and he found his greatest joy in their love and laughter. On October 8, 2025, Jeremiah peacefully transitioned, joining his cherished grandson, Xavier Williams; his brothers, Duke Elliott Sr and Willie Lee; and his sister, Janette Duncan, in eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted companion, Ellie Zabriskie; his loving children, Jason Elliott, Michael Zabriskie, Taneshia Zabriskie, and Natasha Zabriskie; his grandchildren, Tyquan Wiley, Tichiyanna Golman, Alayza Mayo, Tatiyana Zabriskie, Daquan Brown, Aaliana Mayo, Michael Zabriskie-Rivera, and Shylia Elliott; his great-grandchildren, Noe’lani Ferrell, Noe’analise Ferrell, Noe’liya Ferrell, Xylo Molino, and Tyion Coleman; and his devoted sister, Shirley Mills. Jeremiah Elliott will be remembered for his steadfast faith, joyful laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
