Elaine "Ann" Grier Henderson

Elaine Grier Henderson, affectionately called “Ann” by family and friends and “Sweetie” by her grandchildren, was born on June 23, 1946, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Andrew and Willie Bea Grier. She was the youngest daughter of eight children, Beatrice (deceased), John, Joseph “Joe” (deceased), Shirlene “Shirley” (deceased), Juanita, Robert “Len” and Andrew “Andy.” Elaine peacefully journeyed from her earthly life on April 3, 2025. Elaine, a “Harrisburg Knockout,” graduated from John Harris High School, Class of 1964. Ann spent eighteen years with and retired from the Pennsylvania Historical Museum, where she was once featured on the cover of “The Pennsylvania Trails of History” brochure. She went on to forge second careers as a professional beauty and skincare consultant with J.C. Penney Company and operated her own franchises for skincare and health under the Aloe/Cheri Bella Brand, and nutrition with Shaklee Products. Ann was known for her good looks, great legs and natural swag! While she was always being chased, she chose to run after her own true loves - God and her family. Elaine had two children and was married to the late Andreu Henderson. In 2003, after lovingly caring for her mother, Ann took the brave step of moving to the State of Georgia to be with her daughter, where they would also be joined by her son. Ann was best known for her strong faith and mystic spirit. She knew God, but most importantly, she knew that God knew her! She was a wonderful mother who loved her children and grandchildren immensely and had very special relationships with each of them. Elaine’s life legacy is lovingly remembered by her son, Bryce P. Henderson and wife Rhea; daughter, Meisha Maree Toliver and husband Kurtis; two grandsons, Bryce P. Henderson, Jr., and Micah Toliver; three granddaughters, Quiana, Brielle and Breah Henderson; ten great-grandchildren; four siblings, John (Veronica), Juanita, Robert and Andrew; and a grand host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. To God be the glory who wrote such a beautiful story with the life of Elaine “Ann” Grier Henderson.
