Dolores Anne Urrutia

Dolores Anne Urrutia, known as “Lois” by family and friends, was the eldest of eight children born to the late Francisco S. and Clara E. (Lonon) Urrutia on Saturday, November 11, 1950, in Harrisburg, PA. Lois was a 1969 graduate of William Penn Senior High School, and she retired from the Dauphin Manor Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Lois was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, scratching off lottery tickets and watching old country westerns and mob movies while spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her most current pleasure was being a member of the Birthday Club in her building. Always cooking alongside her mom, Lois was known as the cook of the family. She was very outspoken, never holding back on what she had to say. Even though at times her words were blunt and harsh, she unconditionally loved her family. After the passing of her mom, Lois took on the role of leading the Francisco and Clara Urrutia Clan not only helping to raise her siblings, but some of their children as well. On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, while at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA, surrounded by her family, the Lord called Lois home at seventy-three years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Clara Urrutia; brothers, Francisco A. Urrutia, Lorenzo C. Urrutia, Pedro A. Urrutia; and her stepfather, Louis T. Warren. Lois leaves to celebrate her life three daughters, Angela M. Urrutia-Yellock (Robert), Alisa M. Patterson (Mike) and Alana M. Cofield (Donald Jr.); sisters, Janice E. Urrutia and Carmen M. Anderson; brothers, DonCarlos J. Urrutia, James E. Urrutia (Rhonda) and Rodney Thompson; grandchildren, Nichelle Butler, Rickey Banks, Ariele Holmes, Ric`Quelle Banks and Amire Tate; great-grandchildren, Aiden Burnett-Holmes, Rahki Banks, Kevin Holland Jr., Rickey Banks, Nicholas Hargrove-Butler and Reign Banks. Lois was super excited to await her great-granddaughter, Kennedi Cerae McWhite. She will also be lovingly remembered by her favorite nieces, Camille Scott and Jamille Urrutia; godson, Tashan Scott; paternal aunt, Elena “Teenie” Urrutia; cousin, Margaricka (Butchie) Urrutia; friend, Barbara “Baby-Ann” Crystal; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
