Ms. Delores "Dee" Edrington

Delores “Dee” Edrington, daughter of the late Annie Lee Miller and the late Jack McCullough, was born May 28, 1945 in Harrisburg, PA, and raised in Charlotte, NC, until she was four years old. Dee lived in New York for one year, but grew up on Cumberland Street in Sibletown and uptown Harrisburg, PA. Dee attained her elementary school education at Hamilton Elementary and Camp Curtin Junior High Schools culminating with her high school diploma from William Penn High School, Class of 1963. Dee’s first job was as an Executive Secretary to the manager at Prudential Insurance Company. Dee also worked for Pennsylvania Governor Milton Shapp for eight years and established a successful career with the Commonwealth of PA that spanned almost twenty years. She ultimately retired on June 1, 2007 as an Intake Investigator II for the PA Human Relations Commission. Dee’s first marriage to William McDonald in 1969 produced two beautiful daughters, Ann McDonald-Polk and Angela McDonald. She found love again and married Tom Edrington in 1980. Dee loved serving Jehovah, skating, shopping, traveling, attending bible studies, meetings at the Kingdom Hall and spending time with friends and family. Dee’s beautiful smile, quick wit, charming personality and laughter were infectious and will always be loved and cherished. At seventy-one years of age, on December 29, 2016, Dee transitioned into eternal life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Elly Miller. On her paternal side, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Janie McCullough, Martha Smith and Joe McCullough; and on her maternal side, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Edward Myers, Johnnie Miller Jr., Jerry Miller; and sister-in-law, Donna Myers. Dee leaves to cherish her memory brothers, Robert “Skip” Miller (Geraldine) and Richard Miller (Roslyn); sisters, Mary “Diane” Saunders and Mary Burnett; sister-in-law, Cookie Greene Miller (Jerry); daughters, Ann McDonald-Polk (Ron) and Angela McDonald; grandchildren, Kiana Roethler (Zach), Kyle McDonald, Ashleigh Cooks and Roman Polk; great-grandchildren, Zach Roethler Jr., Malia Paumer; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
