Christian Anthony Russell

Christian Anthony Russell, known affectionately as “Bubba,” was welcomed into the world on Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at the Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. On Monday, March 4, 2024, he passed away unexpectedly in the same home city. Christian leaves to celebrate and cherish his life: his mother, Traci Russell of Harrisburg; father, Kenneth W. Medley, Sr. of Coatesville, PA; sister, Bryanna Russell of Steelton, PA; brothers, Donte Russell of Harrisburg, Ken Medley Jr. of Hershey, PA, and James Medley of Lindenwold, NJ; grandmothers, Susan Russell of Wormleysburg, PA, and Linda Williams of Harrisburg; grandfather, Joseph Miller (Cheryl) of Mechanicsburg, PA; great-grandmother, Mary Miller of Middletown, PA; nephews, Abel Medley and Jasper Medley of Hershey; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended relatives, and friends. Christian was a proud Class of 2018 “Roller Nation” graduate from Steelton-Highspire High School. He was also a member of the “Hanna Family” of Susquehanna Township High School where he spent time being educated throughout his high school career. This academic success led to him later becoming a dedicated employee at Ecumenical Retirement Community in Harrisburg, PA, where he worked as a Dining Associate alongside his grandmother, Susan. If you knew Christian, you would know that he was not only a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin, he was also a unique and unforgettable person who could light up a room with his smile and sense of humor. When he wasn’t busy watching his Denver Broncos compete while enjoying French fries and pizza, he enjoyed listening to his favorite rap and rock music, playing video games, reading anime comic books, and most of all, spending time with his cousins and siblings. Christian also dreamed of being a published author of fictional books and often took the time to share his amazing gift of writing with his loved ones. Many people have reached out to Christian’s family to ask how they may extend immediate help to get through this very trying time.
