William A. Wright Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

William A. Wright was born on Monday, June 6, 1949, in Harrisburg, PA, son of Ralph and Mathelder T. Wright. William grew up in Steelton, PA, and was educated in the Steelton-Highspire School District. On Thursday, June 2, 2022, William was called home to be with his Lord joining his parents, Ralph and Mathelder T. Wright; brothers, Ralph Orville and Robert Lloyd; and sisters, Maxine, Juanita, Evon and Landonia. William was married to Marlene Stanton, and their union was blessed with three children, Aaron Wright, Erika Beshore and Dominique Wright. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Company. He loved watching his grandsons play high school and college basketball, umpiring softball and baseball games. He was a huge Penn State football fan and an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. William leaves to cherish his memory his loving children, Aaron Wright (daughter-in-law, Tara Wright of Millerstown, PA), Erika Beshore (son-in-law, Jeffrey Beshore of Aldie, VA), Dominique Wright of Aldie, VA, and (future son-in-law, DJ Benion of Upper Marlboro, MD); four grandchildren, Alyssa Beshore, Cameron Hinkel, Mack Wright and Noah Wright; sisters, Lucille Ray, Althea W. Manning, Eleanor and Diane Knight; brothers, Alton Wright, Kenneth Wright and Hamilton Mason; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carolyn’s House or Hospice of Central PA, 1701 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
