Tyler David Thames Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Tyler David Thames, son of David Thames and the late Carrie Thames who passed away in 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, was born Tuesday, August 10, 1993, in Fayetteville, NC. Tyler grew up in the Penbrook and Harrisburg City communities. He was an energetic, ambitious and courageous young man who had a huge passion for music. Since childhood, he loved the outdoors, playing and watching sports and kayaking. Foremost, and most importantly, Tyler deeply loved his fiancée, Meredith Greene, and his two daughters, Royal and August. He loved teaching and watching his daughters grow. Meredith and the girls were the light-of-his-life. Tyler was a partner of Making Moves, Enola, PA, and an active member of the Freedom in Christ Fellowship Church. Tyler was widely loved by his family, friends and community. He would help anyone, anytime and anywhere. On February 9, 2022, at twenty-eight years of age, Tyler along with his beloved fiancée, Meredith Greene, transitioned into eternal rest as the result of a brutal and tragic attack in their Harrisburg home. Tyler is survived by his two daughters, Royal Liberty Anne Thames, age 7, and August Naomi Thames, age 6 of Harrisburg; his father David (Shauna) Thames of Harrisburg; his siblings, Cachet Thames (Camlen) Stanlake of Enola, PA, Andrew Thames (Abigail Higgins) of Camp Hill, PA, and Brooklynn Thames of Harrisburg; his grandparents, Erven Thames, Harrisburg, and Elsie Thames of Grantville, PA. Tyler will also be lovingly remembered by his uncle, Erven “Butter” (Lesly) Thames, aunt, Trina Thames, all of Harrisburg; and his nieces and nephews, Kyla McCabe, Chase Shugars, Leiana Hayes and Kaleb Thames. Tyler will truly be missed by all.
