Mrs. Sandra Denise Palmer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sandra Denise Palmer, daughter of William and Arminta Adger was born Tuesday January 27, 1970, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Sandra was the devoted wife of John P. Palmer “Joe Smooth” and the loving mother of Toby Q., Jaron J., Quincy W., and Kelcee J. Roberts. “San,” as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was a committed and faithful member of Raw Word Ministries. Sandra loved Jesus!! She received her formal education in the Harrisburg School District. She completed her training at De Reille School of Cosmetology then later attended Harrisburg Area Community College, majoring in Business Management. Her career path led her to employment at the Pa. Department of Revenue, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and the Harrisburg School District before becoming an entrepreneur by opening her very own beauty salon, “Touched by an Angel”. When she finished your hair, you looked and felt like you were in fact “Touched by an Angel.” In her leisure, San enjoyed spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren; coaching for the Harrisburg Cougars/Packers Cheerleaders; reading books with Club Mimosa Book Club; studying her Bible; catering; and making floral arrangements. Sandra was a God-fearing unselfish gem. She had a big heart with a gentle spirit who never judged anyone and a smile that would light up a room! On Tuesday November 28, 2017 Sandra was “set free” from her earthly life and transitioned peacefully into eternal life surrounded by her family. She earned her wings! Sandra was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl E. Finney and David Adger. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her precious memories her loving and devoted husband Joe; her beloved children, Toby Q.(Erika) Yardley, PA; Jaron, Quincy, and Kelcee Roberts, stepson, De’Leon Palmer-Isom and stepdaughter Tauhidah Palmer, ten grandchildren and two god-children, all of Harrisburg, PA.; her brother, Jeffrey Finney(Angela) and sister, Marian Urrutia (Ray) of Harrisburg, PA; brothers, Darin Collins of Phoenixville, PA, and David Collins (Deborah ) of San Rafael, CA; sisters, Alisa Ray of West Chester, PA, Carolyn Horton of West Norriton, PA, Catherine L. and Linda Adger of Norristown, PA.; her sisters-in- love, Denise Manigualt, Joanna Palmer, Joy Carter (Francis), Monica and Lisa Harden and brother-in- love, Johnny Palmer, all of Harrisburg, PA.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
