Mr. Keith Bernard Bair

Keith Bernard Bair departed his earthly home on Saturday, September 27, 2014, to be with the Lord. He was born May 25, 1956 in Harrisburg, PA, to the late Wesley Sr. and Dorothy Bair. Keith was an excellent athlete who excelled in football and basketball. He was an All-American in high school basketball and was listed in the Street and Smith Sports Magazine. He was also a Mid-Penn All Conference Player in basketball as well. He was given the award of “Best Athlete” in the 1973-74 yearbook at Harrisburg High School where he was a 1974 graduate. After high school, Keith attended Scottsdale Community College on a football athletic scholarship. He was an avid sports fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, 76ers and Phillies. For many years, he supported the Camp Curtin YMCA where he sponsored many basketball teams. Keith’s other passions included music, dancing, old-western movies and, foremost, his family. He had a heart-of-gold and made sure to put others before himself. A hard worker, Keith lived his life-long dream of becoming an owner-operator truck driver, and he committed himself to his profession for more than twenty years. On June 15, 2008, he united in Christian fellowship with the McLamb Memorial Church of the Living God. He loved to read and study the Holy Bible. Keith is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Carol Bair; stepson, Terrell Spradley; his only daughter whom he absolutely adored, Jillian London; son-in-law, Tamir London; granddaughters, Zoe, Ava and Tai London; grandsons, Tymeir and Terrell Spradley Jr.; siblings, Wesley Bair Jr. (Faye), Cheryl Black, Loni Jenkins (Robert), William “Billy” Bair, Jo Mae Watson (R.B.), Carl “Butch” Bair (Kelly) and Leslie “Shink” Bair; an uncle, Willard Smith (Vivian), all of Harrisburg; an aunt, Margaret Corrum of Washington, D.C.; his favorite cousins, Anita Glass and Sharon Glass-Brown (Arthur); close friends, Darrin Bouie, James Poole and Vernon King; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Keith’s life will be celebrated at 12 Noon, Saturday, October 4th, at McLamb Memorial Church of the Living God, 521 Peffer Street, Harrisburg, with viewing from 10 A.M. to Noon and interment at William Howard Day Cemetery.
