The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1 Grace Anne Wise was born Monday, March 15, 1943, in Statesville, North Carolina, the second child of the late Robert E. Chambers Sr. and Tabitha E. Tuck Chambers. Grace transitioned from this life into eternal peace on Thursday night, August 27, 2020. Along with her parents, Grace was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert E. Chambers Jr., and two sisters, Betty J. Chambers and Bernice Chambers. Grace retired from the Harrisburg School District with over thirty years of service. Leisurely, she enjoyed watching “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy,” tending her front and back gardens and shopping from QVC. Loving memories of Grace’s journey will be cherished by her three daughters, Jacqueline E. Wise of Harrisburg, PA, Terri Y. Carter of Bristow, VA, Gloria J. Wise-Stump of Harrisburg; one son, James E. Wise Jr. of York, PA; one sister, Edith M. Chambers of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
