Anna Romaine Roberts Prather

May 5, 1929 - July 21, 2020

Anna Romaine Roberts Prather, daughter of the late Albert J. Roberts Sr. and the late Roshae R. Jackson Roberts, was born Sunday, May 5, 1929, in Harrisburg, PA. A graduate of the former Swatara Township High School, Class of 1947, she pursued further career training at Thompson Business Institute for two years. After twenty years of service, Anna retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot. She was a financial contributor at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Oberlin, PA, and she loved reading, cooking, baking, cruising and traveling. On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the blessed age of ninety-one, Anna passed from labor to reward joining in eternal life her parents, her husband, Louis “Phil” Prather; her daughter, Allyn R. O’Neal; siblings, Doris Roberts Ellis, Albert J. Roberts Jr.; nephews, Sean J. Roberts and Donald Ellis Jr. Anna Romaine Roberts Prather leaves a loving legacy to be cherished by her two daughters, Vikki R. Brown (Reginald) of Felton, DE, Krista R. Chase (Clarence) of Bensalem, PA; one son, Terry R. Smith (Rhonda) of Lower Swatara, PA; her grandchildren, Travis Brown (Christina), Magnolia, DE, Cicely Pyle (Jonathan), Felton, DE, Christopher Chase (Kyndal), Kaleisha Flythe (Aquil), all of Concord, NC, Jennifer Pettis, Harrisburg, PA; her great-grandchildren, Jaymeer Johnson, Felton, DE, Liana Brown, Lena Brown, both of Wilmington, DE, Elijah Flythe, Jadon Flythe, Keira Chase, Kaiya Flythe, Brandon Chase, all of Concord, NC, Madison Pettis, Kairo Pettis, Kamden Pettis, all of Harrisburg, PA; as well as other family members and friends.
