Ruby Jean McMillian Turner, daughter of the late John L. McLean and Zetta Mae McMillian Williams, was born Friday, November 11, 1955, in North Carolina. Ruby attended Scotland High School; completed General Educational Development requirements as well as studies in the medical field (CNA). She retired from Verizon. As a member of People’s Community Church, Harrisburg, PA, Ruby served with the Usher Ministry. She spent many loving and enjoyable times with her children, grandchildren and other family members. Playing bingo, going to the casino and taking her chance with the PA lottery scratch-off-tickets were among her pastimes. While at her home in Harrisburg, on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at sixty-five years of age, Ruby entered eternal life. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Flora Mae, Frank Jr., Minnie Louise McMillian-Murphy and Blondell McMillian. Ruby is survived by her husband, James Turner; siblings, James McMillian, John L. McMillian and Hattie McMillian-Quade; sons, Frederick G. McMillian and James Tremaine McMillian; daughters, Anzetta McMillian Lebo, Feleisha McMillian-Ruff and Lisa McMillian; step-sons, Jamal Elliot and James Anthony Wright; brother-in-law, Jimmy Quade; daughter-in-law, Cathy McMillian; son-in-law, Matthew Lebo; twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
