Roseann C. Roberts-Latimore

Roseann Cora Latimore, affectionately known as “Dee Dee,” was born on January 30, 1949, to the late Fred Sr. and Blanche Roberts. Roseann was raised in Steelton, Pennsylvania, in the community of South 4th Street. She was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, beginning her career with the Department of Transportation and later working at the Department of Revenue, where she retired after 35 years of dedicated service. Throughout her tenure, she received many awards and commendations for superior customer service. Roseann was an avid news buff, often keeping up with current events and politics more closely than most of her family. Roseann spent many years as an active member of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a choir member. She followed many churches online across the country but found her spiritual solace with Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. She will be fondly remembered by her children’s friends as Ms. Dee Dee or Ms. Rose, and for her famous fried chicken and sloppy joes. Her home was a place where the neighborhood found hospitality and fellowship. All who gathered there received full-course, delectable meals, even on Saturdays. Her grandchildren were the center of her joy. She supported them from their early years through college matriculation and loved having conversations about their lives, accomplishments, and aspirations. Roseann found happiness in sharing their successes with everyone she knew. Her hobby and joy of shopping evolved from in-store browsing to online shopping, and she had a gift for finding exactly what was needed, often resulting in a package arriving at your door before you even knew it was ordered. On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, Roseann peacefully transitioned from time to eternity at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Fred Roberts Jr., Leonard Roberts Sr., and Ronald Roberts. She leaves cherished memories to her loving children, Sonya Costen (Stanley) of Fort Washington, Maryland; Martin Latimore Jr. (Stephanie) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and Hope Latimore of Hershey, Pennsylvania; her chosen son, James Davis of Middletown Pennsylvania, and chosen daughter, Antoinette Trueitt of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Brie Pierre (Marvin), Alexandra Costen, Victoria Costen, Brendan Latimore, Braelyn Latimore, and Kobe Beal; and one great-granddaughter, Aria Pierre; her siblings, Betty Reid of York, Pennsylvania, G. Alice Pinnock (Michael) and Ricky Roberts (Kathy), both of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
