Pearl Bruton

Pearl Bruton, daughter of Charles Jackson, Sr. and Martha Jackson, was born on June 21, 1939, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Pearl attended the former William Penn High School and later devoted her life to being a homemaker and raising her family. As the mother of seven children, Pearl carried the responsibility of caring for her household largely on her own, with strength, determination, and unwavering love for her children. Family meant everything to Pearl. She loved spending time with loved ones, listening to music, completing word search books, and hosting family gatherings. She took pride in doing things just right and was known as a perfectionist. Pearl also had a great sense of humor and a sarcastic side that kept those around her laughing. Beneath that humor was a deeply generous and caring woman who was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends whenever she was needed. Pearl’s home and heart were always centered around family. She gave of herself freely and took great pride in caring for those she loved. Her kindness, generosity, humor, and devotion to her family created memories that will remain with them for generations. On Thursday, September 3, 2026, Pearl peacefully departed this life while at her home in Harrisburg, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Neil C. Bruton, Sr., and her siblings, Shirley Dickens, Fredrick Jackson, Delores Jackson, William Jackson, Joan Early, Juanita Holmes, and Sharon Jackson. Pearl leaves unwavering love and cherished memories to her daughters, Rosa Doctor, Paula Bruton-Rogers, Renee Bruton-Price, Consandra Bruton, and Doris Bruton; her sons, Neil C. Bruton, Jr. and Lawrence Bruton; her grandchildren Dorlanda, Marty, Bernita, Nikki, Angie, Packie, Robert, William, Tesha, Desiree, Shannon, Edward, Alex, Luke, and Mark; her siblings Charles Jackson, Jr., James Jackson Sr., Paul Jackson and Louise Brown. As well as a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
