Evangelist Idotress Regina Joseph

Evangelist Idotress Regina Joseph lived a life of unwavering faith, tireless mission work, and devoted service to God, family, and community. Born in York, Pennsylvania, to Melvin and Hassie Brabham, she was raised in Bethlehem Baptist Church, where her early faith foundation was formed. At the age of ten, during a summer revival, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, an experience that would profoundly shape the trajectory of her life and ministry. Shortly thereafter, she began a remarkable journey of mentorship under the guidance of her Spiritual Mother, Evangelist Elouise Lynch, District Missionary of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Under Mother Lynch’s guidance, young Idotress discovered the transformative power and indwelling of the Holy Spirit and His many gifts. By age 17, having embraced missions and the call to ministry, she became a licensed evangelist. Missions: At age 20, she joined the Pentecostal movement at Gospel Tabernacle Church of God in Harrisburg under the late Bishop Paul T. Veney, Sr. There, she nurtured the youth, directed the choir, taught Sunday School, and labored tirelessly in evangelism and outreach. Four years later, she served as a volunteer missionary in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with the Christian Haitian Outreach Orphanage. In God’s providence, she met her extraordinary husband, Minister Elias Joseph, and together they were blessed with their brilliant daughter, Idotress Joy Joseph. Over the years, she became affectionately known as “The Mission Lady,” a reflection of her tireless dedication to serving others through missions. Alongside her family, she founded Care Givers Community Focus (CGCF) 27 years ago, a volunteer initiative dedicated to stateside mission projects. Among its most notable efforts was the Warm a Child…Warm a Heart drive, which distributed more than 15,700 sets of hats and gloves to children in Harrisburg. The vision later expanded into Church & Community Empowering Enterprises Inc. (CCEE), which obtained its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status to extend its mission both domestically and abroad. In 1991, the Joseph family joined Shiloh Church of God in Christ, where they served faithfully for 20 years under the late Pastor Carl E. Hines Sr. and Pastor Kevin L. Scott. Her commitment to missions was evident through initiatives such as the two hundred Barrels for Haiti Project, which provided relief following the 2010 Haitian earthquake. In 2012, the family followed God’s leading to Harrisburg Brethren in Christ Church, where their outreach expanded to include feeding programs, educational initiatives, scholarships, and community empowerment. She later transitioned from sending aid abroad to personally participating in mission work in Spain, Kenya, and India, where her agency helped construct a water treatment facility. Denominational Work: Evangelist Joseph’s ministry spanned multiple states and denominations, including Baptist, Methodist, AME Zion, Apostolic, Church of God in Christ, Church of God, Holiness, Brethren in Christ, Church of the Living God, and non-denominational churches. For more than 20 years, she served in the Women’s Department of the Church of God in Christ, which contributed to her spiritual formation. She also served as interim pastor at two churches, was a founding member of Blessed Hope Ministries in Park Forest, Illinois, and consistently poured into the spiritual growth of congregants wherever she served. Education: Evangelist Joseph earned a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior via Applied Psychology from Albright College, a Master of Human Services from Lincoln University, and a Master of Christian Ministry from Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary. On May 11, 2019, she was awarded a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Studies from Liberty University. Since 2002, she has pursued extensive prophetic training and previously served as a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. Personal Witness: Evangelist Joseph often reflected, “I did not attain these goals alone; many saints, friends, spiritual fathers, mothers, sisters, and brothers inspired me along the way. God allowed the saints to teach me evangelism, deliverance, the prophetic, and missions over the past 48 years. Now I have my own spiritual sons, daughters, and grandchildren.” Even when faced with life-altering challenges, including a severe accident and thirty-two surgeries, her faith remained steadfast. She continually proclaimed that Jesus Christ died, rose again, and reigns as Lord and King, the true source of all her strength and success. Having faithfully poured her life into ministry, missions, and the people of God, Evangelist Joseph leaves a legacy of steadfast faith and service that will endure for generations. Affectionately known also as “The Song Lady,” she inspired countless lives through her compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to sharing the Gospel. Those who will forever cherish her life and legacy include her husband of 40 years, Minister Elias Joseph; her daughter, Idotress Joy Joseph; her sister, Louise Stokes; her brother, George (Juanita) Brabham; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, former foster children, spiritual children, grandchildren, and the House of Faith.
