Golda Armah Idan

Mrs. Golda Armah Idan, affectionately called “Sister,” was born on August 28, 1972, to the late Mr. Joe K. Armah and Mrs. Agnes Koomson Armah. Golda began her primary school education at Castle Road Methodist School in Accra and later continued at West Ridge Primary School in Sekondi. She proceeded to Sekondi College (SEKCO) and completed her secondary education at Archbishop Porter Girls’ Secondary School in Sekondi-Takoradi. After completing her A-Level education and national service, Golda pursued higher education at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), where she studied Journalism and Communication Studies. Following the successful completion of her studies, Golda worked with the Ghana Graphic Corporation. Through her work, she became recognized for her passion for human and health-related issues, including female genital mutilation, child poverty, and maternal health. Her write-ups, reportage, and interviews focused on advocacy to address health and social issues affecting marginalized groups. Her work gave her the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with key decision-makers and notable personalities, including a memorable interview with former President of the United States, Jimmy Carter. Golda was indeed brilliant and exceptional. Golda was a family person, a unifier, loving, peaceful, and above all, God-fearing. She maintained excellent relationships with family and friends and always made it a priority to spend time with her loved ones. Though highly professional and hardworking, Golda never measured her life only by her accomplishments, but by the love she gave to family and friends, and most importantly, by her dedication and service to God. Golda was happily married to Mr. George Kojo Idan, and together they relocated to the United States of America. Their union was blessed with four lovely children whom she loved dearly. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who cared deeply for her husband and children. A devoted Christian and staunch member of The Church of Pentecost, Harrisburg District, Golda faithfully served in the Children’s Sunday School Ministry. She was a great friend to little children and an exceptional teacher who nurtured and guided many young children in the ways of the Lord. The children loved her dearly and looked up to her as a mother, teacher, and role model. On April 14, 2026, Golda was called to glory. May the Almighty God, in His infinite mercy, welcome you home, Golda, and grant you peaceful rest until all the saints stand before the great throne of God. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” 9:00 A.M.
