Cornelia V. Brooks, along with her granddaughter, Kelli Lennette Franklin, and 3 great nephews, Tysheen, DeAndre and Derionn Terry, passed away October 18, 2010, as the result of a fire at their Forrest Street,Harrisburg,residence. Cornelia V. Brooks Cornelia V. Brooks, 49, was born April 4, 1961 in Harrisburg, daughter of Shirley L. Franklin and the late Richard P. Franklin, Sr. She attended John Harris High School; was a member of St. John C.M.E. Church; and retired from the restaurant/management field. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Cornelia Smith and Roy Bellemy. Surviving to cherish special memories are her husband, Ralph L. Brooks; her children, Charles D., Amanda T. and Christopher Franklin (Khadijah); mother, Shirley L. Franklin; her siblings, Richard P. Franklin, Jr., (Rochelle), Patricia Pearsall (Troy), Jackie Lisa Long (Randall), Johnnie L. Franklin (Kelli), Archie Wright, Wayne Reid; her grandchildren, Chris and Jacquese Evans, Ahjanae Franklin, Jay`vione and Jamelia London, Brittney and Tyrae Anderson; stepsisters, Doree Silver and Tiffany Solomon; great aunt, Willie Mae White; aunt, Mildred Heard; uncles, James Scott (Charlene) and Thomas White; other relatives and friends. Kelli Lennette Franklin Kelli Lennette Franklin, 4, was born April 13, 2006, in Harrisburg, daughter of James Strickland III and Amanda Franklin. She attended Camp Curtin Preschool and loved watching ‘Dora’ and ‘Little Bill.’ Mourning the devastating loss of this precious little girl are her parents, James Strickland III and Amanda Franklin; sister, Ahjanae Franklin; grandfather, James Strickland; grandmother, Ericka Sinks; paternal grandmother, Brenda Art; maternal great grandmother, Shirley L. Franklin; maternal great grandfather, Charles Proctor; godmother, Darcel Evans; aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Tysheen Terry Tysheen Terry,4, was born January 4, 2006, in Harrisburg, son of Andre Terry and Asia Yeiser. He was the hot-wired chatterbox older brother. DeAndre Terry DeAndre Terry, 3, was born October 19, 2006, in Harrisburg, son of Andre Terry and Asia Yeiser. He attended Ben Franklin Preschool and was the strong-willed middle child who loved all things ‘Spider-Man.’ Derionn Terry Derionn Terry, 2, was born June 12, 2008, in Harrisburg, son of Andre Terry and Asia Yeiser. He was the quiet baby brother who always clung to his Aunt Cornelia. Tysheen, DeAndre and Derionn Terry were all preceded in death by their maternal grandmother, Geneva T. Yeiser; paternal grandfather, Ronald Smith; and paternal great grandmother, Marva Terry. Surviving to mourn the tragic loss of these three sons, grandsons, brothers, nephews and cousins are their parents, Andre Terry and Asia Yeiser; sister, Jalayzhia Stevenson; brother, Andre Terry, Jr.; grandmother, Sheree Stump; paternal grandmother, Cheree Terry; maternal grandfather, Ricardo Yeiser; maternal great grandmother, Shirley L. Franklin; paternal great grandmother, Dorothy Yeiser; aunts, Tasha Terry, Sheree Hankerson and Marva Terry; uncle, Alonzo Hankerson; cousins; and other relatives. Services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at Mt. Calvary C.O.G.I.C., 1830 N. 5th Street, Harrisburg. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The family will arrive at 11 a.m. to receive your greetings and condolences until 12 noon. Interments will be at William Howard Day Cemetery. The family expresses its grateful appreciation to individuals, organizations, churhes, local businesses and community leaders for all prayers, overwhelming support and expressions of sympathy.
