Constance Maddox

Constance Maddox, daughter of the late Thomas Jones Sr. and the late Rella (Dockens) Thompson, was born Sunday, February 6, 1938, in Harrisburg, PA. A graduate of the former William Penn High School, her employment history included Filbert Margarine and Mayonnaise in Baltimore, MD, and retirement from Reese’s in Hershey, PA. Constance was united in Christian fellowship with Trinity Church of Harrisburg. A devout Dallas Cowboys Football fan, Constance enjoyed cooking, traveling, music and dancing. However, and most importantly, she gave unconditional love to her family. On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, while at AristaCare at East Falls, Philadelphia PA, Constance transitioned from time to eternity joining her parents, her husband, James Maddox; children, William “Billy” Jackson Jr., Rita Cartlidge and Ronald “Ronnie” Jackson; great-grandson, Arik Hancock Jr.; great-great-granddaughter, Mayeli Collins; siblings, Ronald “Ronnie” Bailey, Thomas Jones Jr. (Cathy), Myrna Lofters (Sunny); and sisters-in-law, Constance Maddox-Myers (Alfred) and Debra Maddox-Jackson (Charles). Constance leaves a legacy of love and irreplaceable memories to be honored and cherished by her daughters, Rella Scott (Sherman) of Baltimore, MD, Constance “Rena” Jackson, Denise Jackson, Janet Jackson, Teresa Gamel and Jamie Maddox, all of Harrisburg, PA; brother, Timothy “Tim” Moore (Barbara), Harrisburg, PA; brother-in-law, Kevin Maddox of Steelton, PA; stepdaughter, Veronica Jackson, sister-in-law, Betty Tunon, both of Baltimore, MD; grandsons, David Collins, Antwoyn Neal, Jerelle Wise, Christopher Sinclair, all of Harrisburg, PA, Jodeci Jackson, Atlanta, GA, and Barry Coleman, Harrisburg, PA; granddaughters, Anquinette (Angel) Jackson, Harrisburg, PA, Devin Morgan (Doni), Baltimore, MD, Brittany Scott and Bria Coleman, both of Harrisburg, PA, and Ashlyn Jackson of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren she raised, Alvin “Lonnie” Jackson (Yanna), Charlotte, NC, and Raenell Cartlidge of Harrisburg, PA; fifty-seven great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
