Christopher W. Doughty

Christopher W. Doughty, son of the late William S. Doughty and Nancy A. (Smisil) Doughty, was born on August 19, 1970, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Christopher was the owner of Doughty’s Flooring in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he was known as Central Pennsylvania’s favorite flooring contractor. Licensed and skilled in flooring, he was known for fixing anything. He dedicated himself tirelessly throughout his life to achieving the American Dream and firmly believed in success through hard work. He often told his children, “The only way you’ll ever have anything in life is if you work hard for it,” hoping this would serve as a lasting lesson for future generations in his memory. In his leisure, Christopher enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers with his children. He spent time with his father at the pool house, enjoyed driving his boat on Raystown Lake, and visited Wildwood, New Jersey. Christopher enjoyed listening to metal, hip-hop, and rock and roll classics. He especially loved Puerto Rican food, seafood, and a cold Heineken. He was known for finding the best deals, telling stories from “back in the old days,” and being the life of every party. On Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the age of fifty-five, Christopher departed this life while at his home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda “Mandy” Doughty, and his spouse, Samantha Clancy. Christopher leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Maximina D. Doughty, Amanda M. Doughty, and Kayla Rae; his son, Christopher Doughty Jr.; his stepmother, Mary Doughty; his brother, Jason Doughty; his sister, Maggie Faubel; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
