Yvonne Deloris (Mosby) Harvey

Yvonne D. (Mosby) Harvey, daughter of the late James Anderson Mosby Sr. and Edith Elizabeth (Thomas) Mosby, was born Wednesday, September 10, 1941, in Amherst County, VA. Yvonne was a graduate of Steelton High School, Steelton, PA, Class of 1960. After thirty-eight years of service, she retired from Tyco Electronics where she loved her customer service position; you could hear her smile through the phone. As a longtime member of The First Baptist Church of Steelton, Yvonne served with the Choir and Missionary Ministries. Yvonne’s home was her happy place; listening to music and watching her daytime soap operas were among her favorite pastimes. She always had a smile on her face and loved to dance in her front window greeting all her visitors—happy to see them come, and happy to see them go. But, we know that was just “Yvee;” she loved you no less. She enjoyed walking while waving at everyone she passed with a big smile on her face. Yvonne had wonderful neighbors that looked out for her just like family and devoted lifetime friends, Audrey Splawn and Willimina Davis. However, and most importantly, Yvonne’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and her grandchildren. In Harrisburg, PA, on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, Yvonne faithfully and peacefully transitioned from time to eternity at eighty years of age. Yvonne leaves her love and irreplaceable memories to her two daughters, Stephanie Wilkerson (Tom) and Joy Pitts (Scott), all of Harrisburg, PA; siblings, Theresa Chisholm of Steelton, PA, Elwood Miller (Dale) of New Rochelle, NY, James Mosby Jr. (Eloise) of Harrisburg, PA, Charles Mosby (Carmen) of Mitchellville, MD, Joyce Spivey, Carolyn Selvey (Samuel), all of Harrisburg, PA, Leon Mosby (Dorothy) of Montgomery, AL, Gail Hughes (Jairus) and Wayne Mosby (Denise), all of Harrisburg, PA; her stepmother, Florence G. Mosby of Steelton, PA; step-siblings, Patricia Roberts of Las Vegas, NV, William Robinson of Albany, NY, and Terry Robinson of Steelton, PA; her grandchildren, Shannon Hawkins (Amy) of New Cumberland, PA, Brandon Harvey (Christina), Brooke Foster (David), all of Phoenix, AZ, Jordan Kelly (Jordan) of Santa Clarita, CA, Shelby Wilkerson and his fiancée India of Harrisburg, PA, Chantelle Pitts of Pittsburgh, PA, and Jaden Furlan (Edward) of Phoenix, AZ; eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
