Byron Eugene Davis

Byron Eugene Davis, son of Esther L. Davis and the late Stanley B. Jones, was born Saturday, February 7, 1959, in Harrisburg, PA. He received his formal education in the Harrisburg Public School System. Byron was employed by DDSP for fifteen years. Nine of those years were at the New Cumberland Army Depot in New Cumberland, PA. The other six years were at the Warner Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA. He received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award in 2015 for saving the life of a co-worker while on the job on October 25, 2014; along with receiving the 2015 Federal Employee of the Year, Certificate of Excellence in Public Service. Byron was united in holy matrimony to Rosheema L. Davis on August 16, 2014. Shortly after they married, they moved to Warner Robins, GA, where he made many new friends and touched many lives. Byron loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed cooking for everyone, his music, playing the PlayStation online with his friends, gardening and spreading love. Byron was a die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers for many, many years; and, let’s not forget the love he had for his cars. On Saturday, August 6, 2022, in the comfort of his home with his wife and daughter by his side, Byron Eugene Davis peacefully transitioned into eternal life at the age of sixty-three. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley B. Jones; brother, Anthony Jones; maternal grandparents, George W. Davis and Mary B. Davis; and step-grandson, Donnell Williams Jr. Byron leaves to remember and cherish loving memories his devoted wife, Rosheema L. Davis; mother, Esther L. Davis; one child, Gevita A. Davis; seven grandchildren, Michael, Zyion, Jalaia, Ja`Meir, Janiyah, Jaila and Ja`Len Davis-Moore; four step-children, Saqueena Williams, Donnell Williams Sr., Lashaw Williams and Julius Soles Sr.; twelve step-grandchildren, Timachi, Janel, Chardonnay, Shindell, Riley, King, Nautica, Nyaia, Navon, Donald, Julius Jr. and Juleoni; six siblings, three sisters, Andrienne Warner (Linwood), Melanie Davis and Crystal Jones, three brothers, Lorne Hicks Sr. (Sherry), Malcolm Weems (Michelle) and Alan Davis; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
