Alonzo Eugene Rawls

Alonzo Eugene Rawls, son of Victoria (Fleming) Rawls and the late Eugene Woods Jr., was born Wednesday, September 16, 1970, in Harrisburg, PA. Lonnie attended John Harris High School and later became certified in Heavy Operator Equipment which led to his mastering the trade and becoming the best operator at CSR Consolidated Scrap Resources where he was employed. Lonnie was hardworking, strong, courageous, loving and generous. He loved his children more than life itself and would literally give anyone the shirt off his back. His co-workers, family and friends loved him and knew he was always ready with a good joke or a good prank. His laughter and warm persona lit up any room. Lonnie was passionate when it came to his dogs and his sports which included football, basketball and wrestling. While at his home in Harrisburg, PA, on Friday, September 22, 2023, Alonzo Eugene Rawls transitioned from life to eternity at fifty-three years of age. Lonnie leaves a legacy to be cherished and honored by his devoted wife and soulmate of thirty-five years, Daneen Marie (Henneman) Rawls; mother, Victoria Rawls; his sons, Thomas Bryant (Taylor) and Terrel Bryant (Angela Stinson); his daughters, Aunya Simms, Loneasha Daniels, Lonniece Rawls and Lonnaè Rawls; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandson. His memory will also be cherished by his aunts, Lachresia Fleming, Annette Kent, Linda Rawls and Donna Rawls; uncles, Mike Fleming, Sylvester Rawls and Jesse Rawls Sr.; sisters, Katrina Rawls, Angie Sykes and Lynn Rawls; sister/friends, Pamela Newton Anthony, Mary Cargile and Lisa Newton Holmes; brothers, Jesse Davis, John Rawls, Terri Pierce, Alondo Holmes, Lis Bowman, Marcelle Everson and Steve Everson; and his cousins, Jason, Jesse Jr., James, Janine and Jocelyn Rawls, Anthony and Dwayne Lee, Gary and Kieva Falling, Chante Moore, Aaron, Alfreda and Shakey Rawls, Petronia and Jennifer Addison, Angela Rawls, Todd, DonDon and Daryl Cofield; as well as other family members and friends.
