Theodore Roosevelt Felton Jr.

May 15, 1937 - December 31, 2021

Theodore Roosevelt Felton Jr. was born to Mercedes (Hinton) and Theodore R. Felton Sr. in Harrisburg, PA on May 15th, 1937. Ted graduated from William Penn High School of Harrisburg in 1955. On October 11th, 1956 Ted enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. This ignited a love with the Corps that lasted for the rest of his life. Ted earned the rank of Corporal E-3 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Ted was an excellent sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. Many a summer day was spent fishing with his cousin Primo Evans and their sons. In his senior years, Ted loved doting on his grandchildren. "The Gentle Giant", as his youngest Granddaughter called him, loved to bake them cookies. Their favorite was his chocolate chip. Ted's favorite pastime was watching Westerns and sports on TV, reading and assembling puzzles. Ted rose to Glory early Friday, December 31, 2021. Waiting to greet him are his Mother Mercedes and Father Ted, Sr., his Sister Doris Felton, Brother Melvin Felton, Sr., Son Steven Felton and a host of beloved family and friends. Remaining to cherish his memory are his Wife Vivian Hunt, Sons Dennis and Brian Felton, Sisters Dorothy Jackson, Patricia Carey, Roxanne Washington and Deborah Felton, Great-Uncle Melvin Hinton, Sr and first Wife, Patricia Patterson. There are five Grandchildren: Tyeisha Jacobs, Maxine Felton, Anthony Brown, Brian Felton and Karis Felton; eleven Great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will hold a “Celebration of Life” for Ted Tuesday January 18, 2022 at Wallace Funeral Home. The “Viewing” will begin at 11am with the “Celebration Service” commencing at 12pm. Due to COVID concerns “Immediate Family Only” will attend in person. We ask all others to watch through the Wallace Web Page. Marine Corporal E-3 Theodore R. Felton, Jr will rest at Fort Indian Town Gap. The motorcade will leave immediately after the service. All are welcome to attend.
