The Obituary John E. James A TIME TO BE BORN ~ On May 5, 1933, in McDonough, Georgia, the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, John E. James entered the world. He was born to his loving parents, the late John James and Annie L. (Williams) James. A TIME TO LEARN AND WORK ~ Johnny received his early education in the public schools of McDonough, Georgia. Shortly after moving to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Johnny became employed at PPG Industries where he later retired. A TIME TO ACCEPT ~ Johnny accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on Thursday, July 5, 2018. A TIME TO DIE ~ On Monday, August 6, 2018, at the age of eighty-five, Johnny peacefully transitioned from earth to his heavenly home. In addition to his parents, his sisters, Irene James and Mable James, preceded him in death. A TIME TO MOURN ~ He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish precious memories his wife, Shirley (Brown) James; his brother, Charles H. James Sr., both of Harrisburg; his three daughters, Debra James, Wanda James-Rucker and her husband Pastor William Rucker, all of Harrisburg, Marie James-Bowers and her husband Donald Bowers Jr. of Steelton, PA; three stepchildren; Evette Brown, Geraldine Isaac and her husband William, all of Harrisburg, and Richard Brown of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren, Brittany Rucker and Courtney J. Brown; two great-grandchildren, Trinity Wilkerson and Justice Rucker; nieces, Josephine James of Atlanta, Georgia, and Willa James of Harrisburg; nephews, Fred James, David James and Charles James Jr., all of Harrisburg; as well as other family members and friends.
