Donald Swanigan was born Saturday, June 21, 1958, in Detroit, MI. A Criminal Justice Graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Donald retired from Goodwill Industries, Harrisburg, PA. Donald served as Judge of Elections for the 9-2 District for twenty years and as a Counselor to the disabled. A sports fanatic, Donald loved playing as well as watching each and every sport. While at the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA, on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at sixty-three years of age, Donald passed from the labors of his journey to his reward of eternal life. Donald leaves to celebrate and honor his life: mother, Carol (Collins) Swanigan of Detroit, MI; daughters, Domonique Swanigan of Harrisburg, PA, Audumn of Memphis, TN, Raychelle Purdie of Windsor, VA, Erica Everett, Alice Everett, Denisha Everett, Marshea Purdie, Lanise Purdie, Janae Mincey, all of Harrisburg, PA; brothers, Earl Swanigan, Caleb Swanigan, Robert Swanigan, sister, Sabrina Swanigan, all of Detroit, MI; grandson, Yahlen Swanigan of Harrisburg, PA; granddaughters, Ikeiko Peterson, Kinayde Peterson, both of Memphis, TN; as well as twenty additional grandchildren, other family members and friends.
