~~~~~~~~~~~ Cindy, a gift from God, an inspiration to all and a golden thread weaving our family together in Love! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Cindy Loretta Brookin was born Tuesday, March 24, 1953, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Ralph A. and Bessie L. Brookin of Oberlin, Pennsylvania. Cindy received her formal education in the Central Dauphin School District graduating in 1971. She was employed by the Commonwealth of PA, Department of Education, from the time she graduated from high school until her relocating to Florida in 1990. Cindy was currently employed by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Mary, Florida. Cindy formerly attended The First Baptist Church of Steelton, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where she received Christ at an early age. She was currently a member of Church of Many Waters in Orlando, Florida, under the leadership of Pastors Eric and Janet Melwani. Cindy freely praised, worshipped the Lord and faithfully served with the Outreach and Hospitality Ministries. Cindy was the ultimate Praise Warrior. She lived a life of worship, continually praising God in spirit and in truth. She was always ready and willing to give her testimony about the greatness of God. Cindy was the sole owner of Cindy’s Helping Hands, a professional domestic and commercial cleaning company. Cindy used her cleaning company as a way to offer employment to at-risk young men. She trained them in work ethics, life skills and, most importantly, she shared with them the Good News of Jesus Christ. Cindy’s purpose in life was to bring the unsaved to Christ. She often ministered to the homeless and provided food to anyone in need. Cindy’s presence would light up a room; she had a bubbly and infectious personality that drew many people to her. Her greatest joy came from hanging out with her daughter and grandchildren. She was always running around, and always in the House of the Lord with her church family whom she cherished. Cindy had a passion for decorating, shopping and, if you knew her, you knew she loved her wigs. While at her home in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on Friday, December 3, 2021, Cindy was called Home to be with the Lord. She leaves behind to celebrate her life: daughter, Erica L. Jones (her pride and joy), and son-in-law, K. J. Jones; her three grandchildren, Tyler, Jaida, Ja`Niyah; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Jr., Tayler and Nova. Cindy is also survived by five sisters, Patricia A. Hardison, Azelia A. Leftridge, Sandra K. Roberts, Cheryl A. Brookin, Cecelia Jackson (Wilfred D.); one brother, Keith A. Brookin (Sharon); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends. Cindy will be truly missed. Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort because we know for certain she is with the Father worshipping at His feet. -Lovingly Submitted by Cindy’s Family- FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CLICK ON THE SHARE A MEMORY TAB TO POST VIDEOS, SHARE MEMORIES, CONDOLENCES, REFLECTIONS OR SIMPLY YOUR NAME.
