April 25, 1985 - April 14, 2021
Affectionately known as “Los” by family and friends, Carlos A. Garcia Jr. was born on April 25, 1985, in Harrisburg, PA, son of Maria A. Roque and the late Carlos A. Garcia Sr. As a child, he enjoyed playing football for the East Shore Royals as a center and continued his passion for football as a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. A native of Harrisburg, Los was educated in the Harrisburg public school system and attended John Harris High School. Throughout his life, Los cultivated his own personal relationship with God and included the Lord in his daily life through acts of service and prayer. Los lived on his own terms and was known for his immense heart and unwavering loyalty to the people he loved. Los was not the life of the party; he WAS the party and brought joy and humor everywhere he went. He was a fiercely loyal protector and devoted himself to his family and the people he loved without questions or limitations. Los was always on the go and ready for any adventure life brought his way. Whether it was cleaning, dancing, or lovingly terrorizing someone, he never stayed still for long. If someone he loved was in trouble, Los was the first one on the scene and was the type of person to support you in your darkest hour with no expectations or strings attached. On April 12, 2014, Los married his great love, Latoya Garcia, who always stood by him. Regardless of the obstacles they faced, they faced them together as one. No matter how hard things got, their love for each other remained the same, and they found joy and solace in each other's arms. Family was of utmost importance to Los. His biggest joy was spending time with the children of the family, specifically his children and grandchildren, as being their father and “Pop Pop” always brought a smile to his face. Los's practical jokes brightened up the house, and there was never a dull moment with him around. With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Los from this world into the next on April 14, 2021. We take comfort in the fact that his soul is free and enveloped in the everlasting and eternal peace he deserves. Los was preceded in death by his father, Carlos A. Garcia Sr; his maternal grandfather, Angelo Roque; his paternal grandfather, Antonio Garcia; and his uncle, Fernando Garcia. He leaves to mourn his transition his devoted wife of seven years, Latoya Garcia; his nine beloved children, Naraliz Garcia (Chris Rivera), Curtis Cruz, Carlos Cruz, Nayeli Garcia, Layanna Ramos, Carlos Jahmeir Garcia, Jahmeir Carlos Garcia, Carmello Angelo Garcia, and Legend Amir Garcia; his adoring mother, Maria A. Roque; two dedicated sisters, Moritza Termin (Bou Cheam) and Amanda A. Garcia; two cherished grandmothers, Elba Roque and Josefa Garcia; a doting niece, Laiell D. Long; three loving nephews, Corday L. Wise, Kirin X. Cheam and Ronin S. Cheam; three treasured granddaughters, Jaelani Rivera, A’Vianny Rivera, and Meh’Lani Cruz-Wright; and a host of honored aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives. Los also loved his friends as if they were family and accumulated many “brothers'' and “sisters” over the course of his life. Private Service, 4:00 P.M., Friday, April 23, 2021; Viewing, 3:00 P.M.
