Vivian L. Thrasher
Vivian L. Thrasher, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away January 2, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Woodbridge, VA. She was born April 3, 1946 in Youngstown, OH, daughter of James Harris, Sr., and Queen Esther Harris.
She was a member of Turner Memorial Baptist Church, its Trustee, Choir and Mothers Ministries. A retired supervisor at PennDOT, she was devoted to her grandchildren, church and enjoyed singing, traveling and watching the Sci Fi Channel.
Vivian was predeceased by her parents and sister, Denise Harris. She leaves to cherish many special memories her daughter, Jessica Thrasher-Wilson of Woodbridge, Virginia; sons, Terrell E. of Harrisburg, Marvin II of Atlanta, Georgia, and Kirk P. Thrasher of Woodbridge; one sister, Corrine Woodall; three brothers, William, Walter and James Harris, all of Youngstown. Vivian was blessed with nine grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 9th, at her church, 130 Watson Street, Steelton, with viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in William Howard Day Cemetery.
